____10 points: Solid introduction with a thesis statement and assertion of a common theme, motif, and symbol from all three Canterbury Tale stories studied.
___ 40 points: Text evidence has been provided AND sufficiently elaborated on within in the body paragraphs of the text. 
____30 points: Elaboration and analysis has proven a commonality between the theme, motif, and symbol chosen by the student. 
___10 points: Solid conclusion that summarizes Chaucer's reasoning for the inclusion of these literary devices within Canterbury Tales
___10 points: Clear and properly structured writing ; MLA format.
___10 points: Little to no errors in conventions of writing; grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.

  • ___ 5 pts: Clear and smooth flow to your writing
  • ___ 5 pts: Little to no errors in conventions of writing
  • ___ 5 pts: Strong title that captures the attention of readers
  • ___ 5 pts EXTRA CREDIT: proof of improvement from finished rough draft.
    *rough drafts with less than 500 words  or that were not turned in will not count

  • Gather in groups of 3-4 with at least two laptops
  • For the next 40 minutes, you and your group will complete an Escape Challenge like assignment reviewing the aspects of this time period.
